LIDAR is a key technology for detailed wind profiling up to a
height of 200 m. Laser beams are sent from the small portable device and
reflected on aerosols. LIDAR makes it possible to obtain wind data at a variety
of measurement heights up to 200 m. LIDAR gives you the flexibility to measure
wind at the top of the proposed turbine, the upper blade tip, not only at the
hub! The accuracy matches a class 1 anemometer which significantly reduces the
uncertainty of yield calculations, a key component of the business plan for a
wind farm. AL-PRO offers a complete LIDAR service which includes instrumentation
deployment, monitoring, maintenance and all subsequent analyses.
