The determination of the turbulence and loads resulting from wind in complex terrain as well aswithin a wind farm is indispensable for ensuring turbines are selected that meet existing site conditions.

AL-PRO determines all IEC relevant and additional parameters to evaluate a site with respect to the existing wind loads and turbulences; e.g.:

• ambient turbulence

• wake turbulence, effective turbulence

• vertical incident flow

• extreme wind situations

• variations of the flow field within the rotor disk area

In addition to standardized methods implemented in common software solutions, AL-PRO uses customized methodologies and software to transfer measured turbulences to turbine sites and to evaluate the simulated flow fields..
